The Kindergarten students are very busy learning and discovering.

In our reading program, the students learn the letter sounds, how to write letters, recognize letters, and how letters are used to read and write words. In reading, we also listen to a variety of folktales, stories, rhymes, and poems. These are used to help develop comprehension skills, develop phonemic awareness, and help us learn how our language works.

In Everyday Math, we work with concepts of numbers, measurement, money, shapes, and estimation. The Math program uses "hands-on" and "child-centered" activities to develop skills such as sorting real money, measuring the heights of children and clock towers, counting throughout the day, etc.

In Kindergarten, we also use theme units, which use activities in different curriculum area, to further enhance the concepts that we are learning.
